Bridget Jones’s Diary star Sally Phillips is set to film a brand new comedy right here in Perth.

Phillips — who played Bridget’s foul-mouthed best friend Shazza in the three-film franchise — is currently in day eight of her mandatory hotel quarantine before production kicks off on her new film, How to Please a Woman from April 26.

The 25-day shoot will see Phillips play a 50-something businesswoman who launches an all-male house cleaning service that gets so popular it grows out of control.

The film — based on a story penned by WA writer director Renee Webster — will also feature plenty of Aussie talent, including Back to the Rafters star Erik Thomson, who has been in WA filming Blueback, Alien: Covenant star Alexander England…
