Prime Minister Scott Morrison has offered Federal Government support to Western Australia after Cyclone Seroja destroyed homes in the Mid West on Sunday night.
The fast moving storm hit Kalbarri just after 7pm with wind gusts up to 170km/h, before heading south-east towards Geraldton.
Dozens of Kalbarri residents have reported they’ve been left without a roof and their homes have been destroyed.
Authorities also warned of flash flooding after 167mm of rain was dumped in the Mid West region.
Mr Morrison revealed he had spoken to WA Premier Mark McGowan and was receiving “regular updates” on the cyclone.
